Has a launch date been set aside for Labyrinth yet? Or is it still just 'mid March'?

I wouldn't mind hearing a bit more about how this is going to be structured, too - as it sounds a bit different to usual. For example, what with the 'wrong answers send you down the wrong path' thing (I'm sure I remember reading something along those lines, although I can't recall where), presumably the number of puzzles solved won't be a 100% accurate reflection of how far through you are, as it's possible that most of the puzzles you've solved have been down a 'dead end' route. So how will the stats work in this situation? And, does this mean that it will be possible to 'complete' the contest while not having solved - perhaps eithout even having seen - all of the puzzles?

If you're planning, closer to the launch, to post some detailed info explaining all this stuff, then that's fine and I'll wait excitedly for it Very Happy If not, then I'd quite like to know - I'm sure I can't be the only one who's been thinking about it.

*counts the days till mid March... - while pondering the length of a piece of string * Laughing

As you can deduce by my splitting of this topic, and by the new title, this does raise a number of perfectly valid questions, and I shall try to address them all where possible...

Firstly, LOL at the pondering the length of a piece of string comment... this is, in fact, exactly the length of the contest - as you will see when the contest info screen is made available.

As you may have gathered, part of the "Labyrinth" experience comes from the unknown: not knowing how many questions to expect, not knowing the route out, not knowing if you've gone wrong, and not knowing where you've gone wrong.

You are right in thinking that it is possible to escape the Labyrinth without having solved all of the questions... assuming, of course, you dont stumble down every dead end there is Evil

You are also right in thinking that, as a result, the stats could be misleading. For this reason, and to preserve as far as possible the aforementioned "unknown", there will be no stats... just a list of those who have successfully escaped (call it a "hall of fame" if you must!).

Finally, the launch date... this is still scheduled for mid-March, and I cannot be any more specific at this stage. I can confirm that the contest is "ready to go", but - as I think I previously mentioned - I am away at the beginning of March and, as the contest engine is somewhat new, need to be around should any of you break it Laughing

Tell your close relatives that you do not wish to be disturbed and to beware the ides of March

Could the launch date middle march be changed into somewhere second half of march? Or maybe even end march or beginning april?

We are still in the middle of a diabolically nasty contest and would like to finish it and take a break of some days before starting the labyrinth.

Not that it will really make a difference . . .
