Hehe. Post your own mini puzzles for the gamers here and see if they can come up with the answer. It'd probably be best if you do come up with an answer to pm the authour of it to see if you're right rather than post and spoil. OKays, so here's the first one:

1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
1113213211
What's the next line in the sequence? Wink

This is indeed correct - in fact you will never get a digit higher than 3, unless you happen to start with one (or with a string containing 4 or more of the same digit consecutivey, of course). It's fairly easy to see why this must be true, if you know how the sequence works Smile

Here's another mini-puzzle while I figure this one out.

Some words countain only syllables that sound like letters of the alphabet. For example, "eye" and "see" sound like the letters I and C. "Essay" and "array" sound like SA and RA. Close doesn't count - MT doesn't work because "empty" is pronounced with a "p" sound (at least, by me).

I can find words like this with 3 syllables, and 4, and 5. Can you match that? Or, can you find longer words? (This is just something I thought up, so I have no idea how many answers are possible)

Edit: if you come up with answers, no need to PM me... instead, maybe post them in invisible ink?

A five-syllable one? This is the only one that comes to mind:

XPDNC (expediency)

And a couple of 3's:

FND (effendi, Turkish title of respect)
XTC (ecstasy)

Headaches from puzzle-solving? 2-(p-isobutylphenyl)propionic acid should help.
